| New faces on Alcester City CouncilBy Paul Buum, Editor/PublisherALCESTER – Three new council members will take their seats when they take their Oath of Office during the May 5 Alcester City Council meeting.New this term in Ward I is Wayne VanGelder, who will fill a one-year term for the seat vacated by Jim Quick.In Ward II, Larry Anderson will replace Brian Berg after defeating him in the city election last week by a vote of 38-20.In Ward III, Steve Johannsen ran unopposed and will fill the chair vacated by Tom Kribell.Returning to the council will be Curt Anderson, who ran unopposed in Ward I. Jesse Duncan from Ward II and Pete Larsen from Ward III were not up for re-election and remain on the council. |
