Kent Voegeli
Kent Voegeli, 44, of rural Beresford, died Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at his home. Funeral services were held January 4 at the Beresford Zion United Methodist Church with burial at Zion Cemetery.
Kent Voegeli was born September 30, 1963 in Sioux Falls, to parents Kenneth and Gwynneth (Stalheim) Voegeli.  He attended Silver Lake rural school and continued his schooling in Beresford, graduating in 1982.
In June of 1983 he began working at Alkota in Alcester, where he was currently employed. He also had worked for Glen Lindblom, many other area farmers and most recently John Jensen. Kent married Trisha Hofer in June of 1990.  He has been a lifelong resident of the Beresford area.
Kent was baptized at the Zion United Methodist Church in Beresford where he belonged and also sang in the church choir.  His hobbies included bowling, playing darts, fishing, boating, and mechanics.
He was preceded in death by his mother and brother, Kyle.
Kent is survived by his father, Kenneth Voegeli of North Sioux City; his children: Victorria Voegeli of Vermillion, Vance Voegeli of Beresford, and Tavanna Voegeli of Beresford; companion Shawna Bailey and her children Taiya and Ria, all of Beresford ; sister Cindy Muhlenkort and husband Jim of Beresford; three brothers: Kevin Voegeli and Vicki of Beresford, Kendall Voegeli and wife Krista of Caryle, IL, and Keith Voegeli and wife Tami of McCook Lake; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
