Beverly Day
Beverly Anne Severson Day of Alcester went to be with her Savior and Lord on January 24, 2008, having lived 82 years, 3 months, and 19 days. Funeral services were held January 28 at the Alcester United Church of Christ.
Beverly was born on October 5, 1925 to Emil and Amy (Hoyer) Brown near Hettinger, ND.  Her family moved to south of Beresford in the 1930s. In 1943 she graduated from Beresford High School.  Beverly worked in the bakery there and later the bank.
After marrying Bert Severson in 1950, they made their home in Alcester. His work carried them to a number of towns. Their daughter, Karen, was born while they were living in Parker.  Being widowed in 1958, she returned to Alcester.  Beverly worked for a number of businesses in Alcester including Morningside Manor.  In 1975 she married Lester Day.  After their retirement, she was very active in her church and VFW auxiliary.  Beverly saw caring for her family and selling beauty products as ministry and enjoyed her activities immensely.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, Lester Day; their children, Marlin and Heather Day, Karen Severson Cook, Jerald and Gerri Day, and Bruce and Virginia Day; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, parents and one brother.
The family requests memorials be directed to the Alcester United Church of Christ.
