- Michael A. Tabbert
Michael Allen Tabbert, 19, of Hudson, died Friday, June 22, 2007 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Highway 20 near Galva, IA. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 26 at the Alcester-Hudson Elementary School gymnasium, with Rev. Lori Marty officiating. Burial followed in the Eden Cemetery in Hudson.- Michael Allen Tabbert was born October 19, 1987 in Sioux City, IA, the son of Brian and Penny (Malcom) Tabbert. He graduated from Alcester-Hudson High School in May 2006 and graduated with Honors from the Power Line Maintenance and Construction Program at Mitchell Technical Institute on May 11, 2007. He was employed by Karian & Peterson Contracting of Montevideo, MN, and part time for Gleeson Constructors, LLC of Sioux City, IA.
- Michael enjoyed family and friends, 4-wheeling, hunting, being outdoors, horseback riding and working with his Dad. He enjoyed life to the fullest and touched many lives. Michael truly loved his two brothers and was the ultimate big brother. His family and friends will always love him and will miss him dearly.
- Survivors include his parents, Brian and Penny of Hudson; two brothers, Eric and Tyler both at home; special friend, Kati Van Wyk of Hawarden, IA; grandparents Elmer and Mary Tabbert of Holabird, SD, Ann and Dave Weicht of Grand Island, NE, Allen Malcom of Alcester, and great-grandmother, Bernie Faber of LeMars, IA; Brian’s siblings, Mike and Lynn Tabbert of Russellville, AR; Bruce and Wendy Tabbert of LeMars, IA, Brad and Mary K. (Tabbert) Cole of Gettysburg, and Kristen Tabbert of Pierre; Penny’s siblings, Kim and Kenny Malcom-Ebel of Sioux Center, IA, Bill and Leslie Malcom of Altoona, IA, and Troy and Lynn Malcom of LeMars, IA; many great aunts; great uncles; and cousins.
