- Rosella Richmond
- Ruby Rosella Richmond, 83, of Lakeland, FL, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at the Care Center near Lakeland. Services were held Saturday, August 4.
- Rosella was born January 10, 1924 to Arthur and Cora Olson of Volin, Yankton County, South Dakota. She was baptized and confirmed at the Trondheim Lutheran Church of rural Volin. She attended McFarland Grade School and graduated from Volin High School.
- After graduation Rosella married Donald Richmond of Yankton. They moved to Battle Creek, MI to make their home. To this union two children were born; Don, Jr. and Trudy Kay. Rosella worked at the Kellogg Cereal Company for thirty-three years. In 1979 they moved to Lakeland, FL to retire.
- Survivors include her children, Don Richmond, Jr., of Lakeland, FL, and Trudy Kay Richmond of Naples, FL; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters; LeVila Johnson of Alcester, Cleone Humpal of Rapid City; and Nelda Hultgren of rural Akron. She is also survived by two brothers, Vernold Olson of Akron, and Larry Olson of Onalaska, WI.
- She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Richard, Sr., of Lakeland, FL; her parents, Arthur and Cora Olson of Alcester; two sisters, Melinda Peterson of Brookings and Arline Johnson of Iowa Falls, IA; and a brother, Gaylerd Olson of Alcester; She was also preceded in death by a nephew, John Peterson, who was killed in Vietnam.
