Christina F. DwelloChristina F. Dwello, 81, of Vermillion, died Monday, September 4 at her home.Christina Osterkamp was born August 14, 1926 in Corro Gordo, IA to John and Henriette (Husman) Osterkamp. She attended Ireton, IA public schools, and married Paul Nielsen on March 26, 1949. Paul died in 1968, and Christina married Robert Dwello in 1969, and he passed away in 1990.Christina worked for Tri-State Produce in Iowa for 3 years, and went to Hudson Produce before retiring in 1985 from the USD food service in Vermillion after 17 1/2 years. She enjoyed Gardening and spending time with family and friends.She is survived by two brothers; Richard Osterkamp of Vermillion, and Edward Osterkamp of Alcester, two sisters; Kathryn Oulman of Forest City, IA, and Grace Morehead of Hawarden, IA, and many nieces, nephews and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, two brothers; William and John, and five sisters; Francis, Lena, Mini, Elizabeth and Mary.Funeral services were held September 7 at the First Baptist Church in Vermillion. Burial was held in the Hawarden Cemetery in Hawarden, IA. |
