Alcester-Hudson’s Sarah Haisch won the 400-meter low hurdles at the West Sioux Falcon Relays last Thursday. Haisch, a freshman, circled the track in 1:12.06 beating her closest opponent by a second.

The girl’s 3200- meter relay team took second in 10:55.20 behind the running of Lexi Liston, Jessica Wegh, Emily Schreur and Sarah Haisch.

The 1600-meter relay team was third with the same four girls running in a time of 4:36.2.

A fourth place finish awaited the distance medley relay team of Beth Gustner, Lexy Schempp, Jessica Wegh and Sarah Haisch.

Three sixth place finishes greeted two girls in the field events with Katherine McDole throwing the shot put 27’11”. McDole hurled the discus 81’9”. Megan Wood jumped 12’11” in the long jump.

Corey Haisch led the boys with a third place finish in the 400-meter dash in :56.44. Eric Beeler took fifth in the 1600-meter run in 5:04.2.

The 1600-meter relay team was second in 3:50.4 as Matt Schempp, Brenden Norseen, Kelly Haisch and Corey Haisch were the runners.

The medley relay team of Norseen, Todd Anderson, Austin Skoglund and Eric Beeler took fourth with a time of 4:06.20.

The 800-meter relay team was fourth in 1:42.8 behind the running of Norseen, Anderson, Schempp and Kelly Haisch.

On Saturday, the Cubs ran in the Jesse James Invitational in Garretson, where Sarah Haisch took second in the 800-meter run in 2:35.38, and Jessica Wegh was fourth in 2:39.44.

Wegh also placed eighth in the 400-meter dash in 1:05.37 while McDole was eighth in the shot put with a heave of 29’2-3/4”.

Corey Haisch was fifth in the 400-meter dash in :54.35 while Eric Beeler was fifth in the 1600-meter run in 5:05.52 and fifth in the 3200-meter run in 11:15.62.

The boy’s 1600-meter relay team was sixth in 3:48.56 with Schempp, Anderson, Kelly and Corey Haisch as the runners.

The Alcester-Hudson track team started the week with the Cubs-Beresford Invite in Centerville.

Eric Beeler took fifth in the 3200-meter run in 11:29.61. Austin Skoglund was fourth in the 800-meter run in 2:18.78.

The 3200-meter relay team was third in 9:24.00 as Corey Haisch, Austin Skoglund, Eric Beeler and Kelly Haisch did the running.

The medley relay team of Matt Schempp, Eric Anderson, Corey and Kelly Haisch was fourth in 4:04.16.

Beth Gustner won the freshman 100-meter dash in a time of :14.11. Wegh placed fourth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:07.03.

Sarah Haisch took second in the 300-meter hurdles in a time of :50.87. The girl’s 1600-meter relay team was sixth in time of 11:32.91.
